North Pointe Motors is proud to have been serving the North Shore Community for the past 30 years. We are a small family owned business with four to five employees. We take pride in doing excellent work, complete honesty, and fair prices. We go out of our way to explain What, How and Why we are doing what we are doing. We are known for our ability to repair the toughest problems. We have the patience to find your car's problems and repair them correctly. Our employees are all paid a good salary with no commission therefore, they are not in a hurry to repair it as fast as possible to make more money. Other shops in the area send their problem cars to us and, sometimes, send us new customers.

North Pointe Motors is a privately owned independent repair shop owned and managed by Tim Kompass. Tim has been working on and around cars since he was ten. He rebuilt his first engine in his first car when he was 14 years old in the Power Mechanics class at Lake Forest High School. Tim started working in the auto industry while still in High School. He became the parts and service director of Highland Park Volvo by the time he was 25 years old. After many years working at the Dealer level he saw a real need to offer something better to the auto consumer. Tim opened North Pointe Motors with the vision to offer customers a better level of technical knowledge, using factory trained technicians and the same original equipment parts that the dealer offers, but in a friendly, honest, happy environment and at much more affordable prices. This has been a total success as business has been steadily growing since North Pointe Motors opened and all only through word of mouth referrals. Come in and visit Tim and his crew.
